Manchester United are close to completing the signing of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester United are closing in on a record-breaking signing of Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho. The saga is almost finished, with the England international’s transfer anticipated to be finalized following the European Championships.

The following players could struggle for game time after Sancho signs for United.

Daniel James

Daniel James has had a good start in his Euro 2020 campaign for Wales.

When it comes to his future at Man Utd, however, he isn’t likely to play much once Sancho arrives.

In 2019, Jadon Sancho was actually preferred over James, but the club’s failure to qualify for the Champions League disfavoured the move.

Over the last year, the former Swansea winger has drawn interest from Brighton and Leeds, and a loan exit may be beneficial to all sides.

Anthony Martial

There’s no disputing Martial is a valuable asset, but he’s not up to the task of leading Manchester United to Premier League and Champions League triumph.

Manchester United recruited Anthony Martial from Monaco in 2015, with Louis van Gaal believing France international had the ability to win the Ballon d’Or one day.

Last season, the 25-year-old scored just seven goals in all competitions.

Facundo Pellistri

Fans are eagerly waiting to see what Facundo Pellistri, another winger who joined United a year ago, can do.

And with Sancho on the verge of joining United, the Uruguayan is likely to be loaned out again next season.

Last season, the 19-year-old failed to score or assist in La Liga in 12 appearances with Deportivo Alaves.

And Pellistri will have to prove himself quickly if he wants to compete with Sancho for a starting spot in the future.

Man Utd have high expectations for Amad, who was signed as a backup to Sancho last year.

However, the Ivory Coast international has struggled for playing time so far, and his situation is expected to continue with the arrival of the Borussia Dortmund star.

The club is pleased with Amad’s progress so far, but recognize that the former Atalanta star is still a raw talent rather than a finished one.
