Gers to land Vlahovic 2.0 after “expect confirmation” report
Danilo is close to becoming Michael Beale’s marquee signing of the summer as Rangers are finalising a deal for the Brazilian striker.
The 24-year-old is a highly-rated talent and many fans were sceptical when his name was first linked with the club.
Rangers may not be able to afford someone like Dusan Vlahovic, who joined Juventus from Fiorentina for a whopping £66.6m in January, but Danilo could be a similar player, according to DataMB’s stats.
Vlahovic is the closest match for Danilo’s performance last season among the top leagues in Europe.
Danilo is not only a prolific goalscorer, but also a good team player who can set up chances for others. However, he relies on good service and does not create his own opportunities by dribbling past defenders.
He also fits Rangers’ style of play, which is based on high pressing and intensity.
With Alfredo Morelos on his way out, Rangers fans are looking for a new star to cheer for and Danilo has the potential to become one.

He has already shown his quality in Feyenoord’s pre-season games, scoring three goals and assisting two more in a few appearances.
He may not cost as much as Vlahovic, but Rangers fans will hope he can deliver the same results.
