Gianluca Scamacca, a £30m West Ham star who has been injured, has seemingly been seen training in a photo before the upcoming game against Chelsea.

West Ham and Chelsea are set to face off in a crucial match at the London Stadium on Saturday.

Both West Ham and Chelsea have underperformed in the Premier League this season.

The upcoming London derby has significant stakes for both teams.

West Ham is currently experiencing a number of injury issues.

Scamacca, who was signed for £30m in the summer, has been out for over a month due to a knee injury suffered during a 2-2 draw with Leeds.

Scamacca received his final injection in a treatment course for his injury and supported his team from home over the weekend, as reported by Hammers News.

There have been concerns about the extent of Scamacca’s injury, with 90min reporting that it has been kept hidden by West Ham. Scamacca took to social media to deny these claims, saying he will be back soon.

The Chelsea game was originally slated as Scamacca’s estimated return date when he was first injured.

Scamacca was spotted training in a photo posted by West Ham from a training session at Rush Green on Monday.

West Ham fans will be pleased to see Scamacca doing sprints in the corner of one of the photos.

Scamacca’s appearance in the photo, with his white Nike boots and distinctive build, confirms his presence.

Having Scamacca back is good news for David Moyes, but he is unlikely to start against Chelsea even if he is fully fit. However, having him as an option on the bench could be valuable.

Many fans are also looking forward to the potential partnership between Scamacca and January signing Danny Ings in the second half of the season.
