Tottenham Hotspur are looking forward to playing in the European competitions coming up next season and will be keen to trim and reinforce their squad ahead of the assignments.
According to Football Insider, the Spurs will be forced to let some players move out to make room for new arrivals.
It is rumoured that Giovani Lo Celso, Tanguy Ndombele, and Steven Bergwijn are not in head coach Antonio Conte’s plans in the summer, thus facing an imminent exit from the London club.
Discussing the current transfer situation at the club, Spurs insider John Wenham reveals that Antonio Conte’s charges are willing to make a loss rather than hold on tight to a fee for some given player.
“This has been something that has been happening since at least last summer,” Wenham said. “For example, we probably could have got more money for Sissoko, but we just needed him gone, so we took what we could get.”
“We aren’t going to make our money back on these players, so lets just get them gone and see how much we can bring in. I would rather we got rid of the players than hang on for the right deal to sell them. We should be doing whatever it takes to get players like Ndombele gone.”
However, Tottenham could make some decent amounts from the sale of their surplus, such as Giovani Lo Celso, who has improved his market value.
Tottenham will be ready to take whatever is offered for the likes of Tanguy Ndombele as the club looks keen on letting him go permanently.
