Newcastle’s search for a new attacker has been discussed by Sky Sports’ Pete Graves on the Transfer Talk Podcast.
The Magpies are searching for a new forward this summer, as many of their supporters are aware. Hugo Ekitike, Alexander Isak, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have all been mentioned in connection with them, but they have yet to make any significant progress on this front.
Scamacca and Armando Broja are two more players on Newcastle’s target list, but sadly for the Magpies, West Ham are also interested in both players.
West Ham are now more likely to sign Broja, although Graves has stated that a deal for Scamacca may be in the works if the Broja deal goes through.
“They desperately need a striker, a young striker who could play second fiddle to Callum Wilson. There are players on the list. Funny you mention West Ham, Broja, there was an interest there and Scamacca was another one in Italy, I wonder if West Ham sign one of those if Newcastle go for the other one. That will be fascinating to see,” Graves said.
Scamacca would be a terrific choice for Newcastle and may end up being the striker they eventually sign.
The Italian is a highly rangy forward, similar to Calvert-Lewin and Isak, but he also has a very lethal shot and a very unique style of play.
