In the wake of reports linking Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi to Leeds United, transfer insider Pete O’Rourke believes a striker will be “definitely” high on the club’s wish list this summer.
According to reports, Jesse Marsch is looking to boost his squad and could make a move for the Belgian in the forthcoming window.
According to the same source, Wolves, Everton, Brighton, and Southampton are all interested in signing the 28-year-old.
He is now on loan at Besiktas, where he is having a fantastic season, scoring 14 goals in 29 league outings.
Batshuayi has scored 136 goals in his professional career, indicating that whoever signs him will be getting a striker.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the football journalist said: “Definitely a striker I think would be high up there on Jesse Marsch’s list of priorities because they’ve badly missed Patrick Bamford this season due to his injury problems.”
Leeds clearly need a new center-forward, and Batshuayi appears to be a viable possibility.
After playing for Chelsea and Crystal Palace, he is familiar with the Premier League and will most likely be available at a cheap price.
Batshuayi isn’t in Thomas Tuchel’s first-team plans and is out of contract next year, so Leeds has a chance to sign him.
