Tuesday afternoon saw some good news for Tottenham supporters as video of Dejan Kulusevski working out at Hotspur Way appeared on Sky Sports News.
Due to a minor muscle injury, the crucial player has been out since the Boxing Day stalemate at Brentford. Everyone associated with the club is crossing their fingers that he will be able to participate in Sunday’s North London Derby against Arsenal.
Kulusevski was seen practising some running drills with two club coaches away from the rest of the team on the training field in the Sky Sports video.
His return to training has another benefit for Tottenham supporters: some images showed him working with the ball rather than merely concentrating on running drills.
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium’s derby match is four days away, and Spurs will do everything in their power to ensure Kulusevski can participate.
Yves Bissouma was also reunited with his teammates on Tuesday after missing last Saturday’s FA Cup victory over Portsmouth.
A minor knock suffered during warm-ups forced the midfielder to withdraw 10 minutes before the game was scheduled to begin.
After the 1-0 triumph, Cristian Stellini, the assistant head coach for Tottenham, did state that Bissouma would “definitely” be able to play against Arsenal.
While Kulusevski worked apart of the rest of the team, his partner got to work with the athletes working out at Hotspur Way.
After being forced to sit out the match against Portsmouth three days prior, Bissouma was spotted controlling the ball in a small-sided match, which is unquestionably a very positive indicator.
