According to The Mail, Leeds have submitted a £26 million offer to recruit Club Bruges’ wonderkid Charles De Ketelaere. It follows Fabrizio Romano’s initial mention of the Belgian to the Whites last week.

The 21-year-strongest old’s season to date helped Brugge capture its third straight league championship. The Belgian international played 49 times across all competitions and contributed to 28 goals by scoring 18 and setting up 10.

According to Radja Nainggolan, De Ketelaere was Brugge’s attacking lynchpin throughout their title-winning season. De Ketelaere has been an “undisputed star” for Brugge.

As Raphinha moves closer to the exit doors, The Mail now claims that Leeds has proposed £26 million to recruit the versatile attacker.

According to news sources from De Ketelaere’s native Belgium, Brugge is reportedly asking for up to £34 million.

The £34 million estimate of him is entirely justified. It is a contract that all sides must reach if Leeds and Brugge can agree on a compromise, perhaps arriving at that sum with future add-ons and performance bonuses.

Although he may play in the Champions League and win championships with Brugge, De Ketelaere cannot thrive there. He must play in the top league in the world, which Leeds can provide.
