Premier League side Leeds United have reached an agreement on the departure of goalkeeper Elia Caprile this summer.
TMW has reported that an ‘agreement in principle’ has been reached for the player’s permanent move.
The shot-stopper signed for Leeds United in January 2020 before he was loaned out in August 2021 to Serie C club Pro Patria.
While on loan, the goalkeeper made his professional debut and was a regular starter for the club.
TMW has gone ahead, adding that the 20-year old who rose through the youth system at Chievo Verona is expected to depart Elland Road and sign a deal for Bari in the region of Puglia.
Bari topped the table in Serie C last season to earn a promotion to Serie B. Caprile will have an opportunity to play at a higher level on an apparently regular basis, unlike at Leeds United, where he had limited playing time.
According to TMW, Caprile’s development originated from Sky Italia, with a permanent move being given priority over another loan deal this time round.
Caprile’s contract with Leeds United was set to run until June 2024.
