Several media outlets report that Barcelona have offered Philippe Coutinho to Leicester City.

Coutinho has been linked with a move to the Foxes, and if he were to sign, it would reunite him with his former boss, Brendan Rodgers, at Liverpool.

When he was in charge of Liverpool in 2012, current Leicester City manager Rodgers acquired Coutinho from Inter Milan for around £8.5 million, and he was sold to Barca for £105 million six years later.

Barcelona have begun looking to cut down their salaries after the departure of Lionel Messi.

There is uncertainty surrounding James Maddison, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal, so it is possible another forward could be acquired before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.

The Mirror is reporting that Coutinho’s agent, Kia Joobrachian, has been given the task of finding a new club for his client with Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United interested in the player, while the two other Premier League clubs are said to be interested in him as well.

According to the Mirror, the transfer of Coutinho could be considered a loan with an obligation to pay 60% of his annual salary of £7.7 million.
