Liverpool expected to beat Napoli and Conte’s Tottenham in Bremer “fight”

After a successful two-year stay at Inter Milan, Antonio Conte took over an out-of-sorts Tottenham last week, leading his side to a goalless draw at Everton. In a move to improve his side’s defense, the Italian is eyeing Brazilian center-back, Gleison Bremer.

The defender isn’t well known, especially in England, but his reliability has earned him respect and playing time at Torino, attracting the gazes of other clubs.

Conte isn’t the only bidder, as both Napoli and fellow EPL side Liverpool have their sights set on the 24-year-old Torino defender, whose capabilities played a big part in his side’s survival in Serie A last season.

According to Torino Granata, Klopp’s side has the best chance and terms to acquire Bremer, for whom the Spurs were willing to part with 9 million pounds. Conte’s interest in the Brazilian, who has made the most interceptions in Serie A this season, and the amount Tottenham are willing to give might fall short of what the Reds offered.

Despite having great defenders in the likes of Van Dijk, Konate, Gomez and Matip, Liverpool have reportedly tabled good enough terms to beat Napoli’s potential swap deal and the Londoners’ bid.

Despite his satisfactory show at Torino, Bremer will have to fight it out with the best of Liverpool’s defenders for a place in the first eleven if he, as per Torino Granata’s report, is headed to Anfield.
