Liverpool forward Sadio Mane is said to be considering his future at Anfield after the UEFA Champions League final between the Reds and Real Madrid on Saturday.
Mane joined Liverpool in the summer of 2016 for £30 million from Southampton and has gone on to help Liverpool win both English and European elite honours.
The 30-year-old Senegalese forward feels unappreciated at Liverpool with little pay in comparison to his latest contributions to the side’s resurgence.
He is believed to be on his way to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich. Reports from Germany say lack of adequate financial appreciation is a major factor behind his next step.
At the Merseyside club, Mane earns £100,000 per week [Spotrac], half the amount of what defender Virgil van Dijk, fellow striker Mohamed Salah and midfielder Thiago Alcantara are earning at the moment.
He has been in good shape for Liverpool this summer, with a total of 23 goals in all competitions. He was pivotal in Liverpool’s FA Cup and League Cup triumphs.
The ace also helped Liverpool to a second-place finish in the English PremierLeague, a point behind eventual champions Manchester City.
Mane will be part of Jurgen Klopp’s team that will take on La Liga champions Real Madrid in a fierce 2021/2022 UEFA Champions League final in France on Saturday.
