Following speculation that the Brazilian ace wants to leave PSG, Newcastle United have been identified as one of three teams with a chance to land Neymar this summer.

In light of recent claims in the French and Spanish media, RMC Sport lists Newcastle United, Chelsea, and Manchester United as the three teams that can “realistically” sign the 30-year-old winger this summer. Neymar’s future at PSG appears to be in jeopardy.

L’Equipe says that Neymar’s contract with PSG will be extended on July 1 until 2027. However, both the player and the club are ready to part ways after the attacker’s poor performance last season and the club’s big investment in Kylian Mbappe for the next three years.

Which brings us to Newcastle, of all places. The PIF-backed Premier League team is one of the few in the world to have the financial means to sign Neymar, who reportedly makes £600k per week, more than players like Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos at PSG.

Even though Newcastle has the money to buy Neymar if the Saudis who own the club want to, it seems unlikely that the Toon will be the team to sign the former FC Barcelona star since they won’t be in European football next season.

Neymar can’t leave PSG for the northeast right now because, as was already said, Newcastle is just getting started on PIF’s plan to turn the historic English team into the next Manchester City or Chelsea.

After all, if Newcastle plays their cards correctly, they could find themselves back in Europe as early as next season, and if Neymar continues to desire to leave PSG, the Magpies could make an outrageous offer to recruit the forward.
