Newcastle have ‘decided’ to make offer for midfielder

According to Bolavip Brasil, Victor Hugo, a young talent from Flamengo, has caught the attention of Newcastle United.

His impressive performances and charm towards manager Jorge Sampaoli have made him a regular player for the team.

Although primarily a central and defensive midfielder, he has also been utilized in various positions, managing to score four goals and provide one assist in 27 games this year.

Newcastle seems determined to secure the services of the versatile 19-year-old, and Bolavip Brasil suggests that the club may make an offer of around €24m.

This significant proposal is expected to test Flamengo’s willingness to part ways with Hugo. The Magpies have been closely monitoring the player and have now decided to invest in him.

If the move to Newcastle materializes, Hugo will have the opportunity to join fellow Brazilian and Newcastle star, Bruno Guimarães.

The report indicates that Guimarães may have played a role, to some extent, in influencing the Premier League side’s decision to pursue the young talent.

A year ago, Victor Hugo signed a contract extension until July 2027, but the potential €24m offer from Newcastle will put Flamengo in a position where they need to decide whether to allow him to leave or not.
