Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, is interested in signing Brighton midfielder, Alexis Mac Allister, to replace the aging Ilkay Gundogan.
Mac Allister had a strong season under Roberto De Zerbi and was even called up to play for Argentina in the World Cup, where they won the tournament.
Brighton has a good track record of signing talented players at a low cost and Mac Allister is no exception, as he has already attracted interest from top clubs.
According to Fichajes, Guardiola wants to bring in Mac Allister to take the place of Gundogan, who is 32 years old and out of contract this summer.
It is estimated that Mac Allister would cost around €40m, which is considered a good deal in today’s market.
Mac Allister’s versatility makes him a valuable asset for Guardiola, as he has played various positions at Brighton but could potentially be used mainly in a midfield three if he were to join Manchester City.
