After days of speculation, Nikola Vlasic is on the verge of sealing a move away from West Ham United, with Torino and Hajduk Split showing interest in the 24-year-old. It is said his transfer paperwork is close to completion.

Since joining the Hammers in the summer of 2021, Vlasic made 36 appearances for West Ham United last season. The midfielder came on many of those occasions as a substitute, an indication that he has struggled to impress at the London Stadium.

Vlasic has a running contract with David Moyes’ charges until 2026 and his chances of being loaned out in the coming season are high as he has not lived up to the expectations in London.

According to TMW, Italian Serie A outfit Torino are leading the race in the pursuit of the midfielder’s services. An agreement between Torino and the London-based club is reportedly “close” to salvaging his career.

Reports also say Torino manager Ivan Juric is the catalyst in Vlasic’s transfer deal, with the switch most likely to be on a loan basis.

However, it is not yet revealed how much Torino are willing to pay West Ham for the acquisition of Vlasic. It is also not clear how the Croatian international’s wages will be taken care of and whether the Italian side has the option of buying Vlasic permanently.
