Rangers face Malmo in a crucial UEFA Champions League qualifier later today, and they will be trying to gain a lead in the first round away from home.

Rangers got off to a good start to the season with a 3-0 victory over Livingston last weekend, and they will be optimistic of a good away result today.

The Scots cannot afford to overlook Malmo, and they will have to try their level best to come out on top.

Malmo come into this game with four victories and two draws in their previous six games and will be eager to win at home tonight.

Ola Toivonen, who is out with a knee injury, will be missing for the home team.

Meanwhile, Glen Kamara and Kemar Roofe have been suspended for the visitors. John Lundstram, a 27-year-old midfielder, is expected to replace Kamara in the starting lineup today.

Ryan Jack is out with an injury. Alfredo Morelos, the club’s star striker, is under quarantine and will be absent for tonight’s Champions League game.

Steven Gerrard is set to make five changes to the team that defeated Livingston last week. McGregor, Lundstram, Helander, Barisic, and Itten are all expected to return to the starting eleven for tonight’s crucial European encounter.

Rangers predicted XI (4-3-3): Allan McGregor; James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Filip Helander, Borna Barisic; Steven Davis, John Lundstram, Ianis Hagi; Ryan Kent, Cedric Itten, Fashion Sakala

Malmo Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Johan Dahlin; Jonas Knudsen, Lasse Nielsen, Anel Ahmedhodzic, Eric Larsson; Erdal Rakip, Anders Christiansen; Oscar Lewicki, Soren Rieks, Antonio Colak; Felix Bejimo
