Former Arsenal star, Aaron Ramsey, has had a dismal performance at Juventus since joining the Italian giants in 2019, but the resulting limited game time will hopefully change following the 31-year old’s recent loan move to Rangers FC.
That said, many are doubtful, albeit hopeful, whether the Wales international is fit enough to feature in tonight’s Glasgow derby, seeing as he hasn’t played much lately and could perhaps not keep up. “I’m probably going to be a little bit short for the Old Firm game…” partly admitted the midfielder/winger.
The Gers coach seconded Ramsey’s statement, observing that though the Welshman is a great addition to and will fit into the team, he might not be ready yet. “…won’t be completely unfit…it looks as though he has come just a day too early, though,” commented Giovanni.
Ramsey hopes there will be measures to help him get back into form soon, and so does Gio, as the latter thinks that a player of Aaron’s caliber will have a positive impact, especially with the difficult games lined up.
“…hopefully, we can get a plan to get going and back up to match fitness as soon as possible,” Ramsey stated, while his coach thinks “the sooner he can contribute, the better.”
Aaron playing tonight is highly improbable, but he clearly has his mind set on doing better, has the manager’s trust, and fans can’t wait to see him on the field, so his stay at Ibrox will definitely be more eventful than at Allianz.
