Rangers ace jets out for talks over permanent transfer away from club – report

Scott Wright has jetted back out to Turkey to further discuss his permanent exit away from Rangers to join Pendikspor, according to a report by Four Lads Had A Dream.

Writing on their official Twitter account (29 July), the official club partner report that the winger has flown away from the squad to hold more talks over his transfer.

He had previously gone out to old talks before returning to training with the first-team squad, but the deal now looks to be progressing further as we close in on the new season.

“Scott Wright has travelled back to Turkey to further discuss his deal with Pendikspor and leave the club,” they wrote.

Wright has been a decent player for Rangers since being signed by Steven Gerrard, but the additions this summer and the way Michael Beale wants to play have made it clear he doesn’t really have a future here.

He’s currently behind all of Todd Cantwell, Abadllah Sima, Tom Lawrence, Kieran Dowell, Sam Lammers, Cyriel Dessers, Danilo, Fashion Sakala and potentially even Kemar Roofe for a position in the forward line.

That’s just far too much to overcome and after Rangers accepted a bid from the Turkish club, that should have been enough to rubber stamp his exit.

If the player isn’t convinced then he surely needs to find a different solution because staying at Ibrox can’t be an option at this point.

It will be sad to see him go, because he’s been a loyal servant to the club. But it’s the right decision for everyone to cash in now and let him go so he can play regularly elsewhere.
