Rangers midfielder Steve Davis has dropped a massive hint pertaining to his future with the Scottish Premiership team.
The Northern Irish star was part of the Gers team that lost the Europa League final to Frankfurt in Seville on Wednesday night.
Davis played in the final of the same competition back in 2008 and yesterday’s outing could prove to be his final game for Rangers.
With his contract expiring in the summer, Davis looks keen to pack out of Rangers after struggling to secure a first team slot at the former Scottish Premiership champions.
Shading light on his future, Steve Davis admitted that he is not yet fully certain on whether he will remain at Rangers beyond this summer or he is destined elsewhere.
“I don’t really know. I don’t want to think about that tonight. We have a massive game on Saturday as well. But we need to get over the disappointment of this first,” he told BT Sport.
It would have been an honour for Davis to sign out with silverware on Wednesday rather than spend most of his days at Rangers on the bench.
The midfielder could, however, change his mind regarding his days ahead if Rangers put their Europa League disappointments aside to win the Scottish Cup this weekend.
It had earlier appeared that Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s charges were going all the way to lifting the EL title in Spain after taking an early lead in the particular duel, only to lose 4-5 in post-match penalties to the German outfit.
