The Daily Record reported that Rangers are getting closer to recruiting PAOK forward Antonio Colak.

According to the newspaper, the player’s personal terms and the cost have already been settled, but the Greek team is still looking for a successor.

It’s even been said that the Bears could need to hold off on announcing and confirming the transaction until 48 hours before the start of the new season.

As of right now, it doesn’t appear that any new senior signings will be accompanying John Souttar on the plane as Rangers depart for Portugal today (Monday, July 4).

Giovanni van Bronckhorst, who must incorporate the forward into his squad and the new system, can’t wait until 48 hours before the new campaign begins.

Colak is more than eager to go to Ibrox, and because Rangers have paid the asking price and agreed to the personal terms, they need to let him fly to Glasgow and finalise the transfer.

Ross Wilson is working to see that this trade is completed and settled, but considering what the Greek side is doing right now, there may be little he can do.
