Rangers have now made an initial proposal of £5m for Ridvan Yilmaz, but the Turkish Super Lig heavyweights do not like the bonuses that the Ibrox team is offering.

You would think that deciding on a cost for Yilmaz would be rather simple given that Giovanni van Bronckhorst has roughly £30 million burning a hole in his pocket as a result of the exits of Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey to Ajax and Southampton, respectively.

Aksam claims that Rangers are currently offering £5 million in cash up front along with bonuses.

However, those suggested “add-ons” have not been warmly received internally at Besiktas, with chairman Ahmet Nur Cebi seeking a fresh offer, which is anticipated to be made before the end of the week.

The Besiktas manager said a few months back that Yilmaz would fetch a sum of around £8.5 million.

But considering that he seems uninterested in extending a contract that would expire in less than a year, the value of the Turkey international seems to have slightly declined since then.

Before Perisic reunited with manager Antonio Conte in North London, Tottenham Hotspur reportedly had an interest in Yilmaz.
