Rangers launch fresh offer for ace with 60 career goals
The 24-year-old Brazilian striker, Danilo, has been attracting attention in the Netherlands, where he has spent his entire career thus far.
After a successful loan spell with Feyenoord during the 2022/23 season, he has left a strong impression on the Eredivisie outfit.
During his time at Feyenoord, Danilo played a vital role in helping the team secure first place and clinch the league title. Despite starting only 14 times in the league, he managed to score ten goals and provide three assists.
With a total of 34 appearances, he accumulated the equivalent of just 14.8 full 90-minute matches. Remarkably, this resulted in a rate of 0.88 goal contributions per 90 minutes, making him a consistent threat in front of the net.
Danilo’s attacking prowess was also evident during his stint with FC Twente, where he recorded 17 league goals and five assists in 31 starts.
His rate of 0.75 goal contributions per 90 minutes, with only 29.4 full 90-minute matches played, highlighted his consistent performance in front of goal.
Now, Scottish Premiership club Rangers have set their sights on the talented Brazilian striker. According to a report from The Scottish Sun, Rangers have increased their official offer for Danilo to £5 million in a determined effort to secure his services.
Rangers’ initial bid of £3.5 million was rejected by Feyenoord, but the new offer signals their serious intent to sign the player.
The potential deal may also include add-ons, which could affect the final transfer fee. With Ibrox chiefs considering Danilo their top priority, discussions are likely underway to finalize the transfer.
Michael Beale, associated with Rangers, acknowledged that discussions are ongoing regarding Danilo’s potential move. This suggests that progress is being made, and the deal could be advancing towards completion.
Should the transfer go through, Danilo’s impressive track record as a goalscorer suggests that he could be a valuable addition to Rangers’ frontline.
His ability to consistently find the back of the net could prove to be a significant boost for the Scottish Premiership side.
