According to Football Insider, Scottish side Rangers are planning to sell Glen Kamara and a move for the 25-year-old is expected as early as January.
Rangers announced on Wednesday that Kamara had signed a new deal with the club, keeping him at the Ibrox till in the summer of 2025.
The midfielder’s previous contract with the club was not coming to an end until the summer of 2023.
The decision to sell has since then shocked many but it seems that the club intended to protect their player’s value with the new contract and should the right price be tabled for him, he might leave Glasgow in January.
Football Insider has it that Arsenal was among the Premier League clubs that tried to sign the Finland international in the summer.
Kamara will remain on the radar of a couple of teams in England’s top leagues in coming months
They will be particularly taking a keen interest in his performance in the Europa League, to determine his ability to do well against high quality opposition.
Since completing his move to Rangers for £50,000 from Dundee in January 2019, Kamara has continued to develop into a top-class player.
Kamara has featured in 10 games for the Gers this season, including the full match on Wednesday’s cup win over Livingston.
