Rangers ready visa process for brand new transfer – report
According to reporter Andres Ponce, who has a large following on Twitter, Jose Cifuentes is close to joining Rangers from LAFC.
Ponce tweeted on 26 July that the midfielder is having a medical in Los Angeles and then he will apply for a work visa, which should not be a problem.
This means that Cifuentes could soon be a Rangers player and travel to Glasgow to meet his new manager and teammates before the season starts.
This transfer has taken a long time to complete, with a lot of back and forth between the clubs, so everyone involved will be happy that it is almost done.
Cifuentes is the main midfield target for Beale this summer, after he already signed Kieran Dowell on a free transfer. He will replace Scott Arfield, who left Rangers to go back to Canada when his contract expired.
The Ecuadorian is not the only player that Beale wants to sign this summer. He also agreed on a deal for Feyenoord striker Danilo and is negotiating personal terms with him.
Beale has tried to sign most of his players early in the summer, so they can get used to the new environment and the way he wants them to play.
