Rangers’ dissatisfaction with Colombian forward Alfredo Morelos is becoming more apparent given the steps they’ve taken against the player.

Following his (Morelos) clear disinterest and poor form after a recent return from injury, coach Giovanni left the Colombia international out of his squad that’ll face his (Giovanni) home country side, PSV Eindhoven, in their Champions League qualifiers second leg today.

Many expected Alfredo’s future at Ibrox to be in jeopardy following the coach’s revelation hours ago that excluding the 26-year old from his UCL qualifiers squad was an “easy decision”, plus the brilliant performances of new signing, Colak.

The Daily Mail reports that the Gers have halted talks for a new contract with Morelos, who has less than a year left with the Scottish club.

“….talks over a new deal have been shelved, with questions over the striker’s value…”, read part of Daily Mail’s report.

It’s clear Rangers do not plan to accommodate Morelos or wait for things to work out, especially considering just how well they are doing without him on the field.

Van Bronckhorst’s side will most probably sell the forward before the transfer window closes next Thursday, or at least next January to avoid releasing him on a free transfer next summer.

It could be even easier with Morelos’ attitude, which indicates his displeasure at staying with Rangers, so he might even make the first move.
