Chris Wood will have a medical at Newcastle United later today, according to Sky Sports.
Newcastle is said to be willing to pay £25 million (€30 million) for the New Zealand international, who is expected to join Kieron Trippier at Newcastle.
This season, Wood has three goals in 21 appearances for Burnley in all competitions. Chris Wood has previously played for Leeds United, Leicester City, and Brighton & Hove Albion.
Newcastle United are looking to strengthen their squad in the January transfer window in order to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
With 11 points from 19 matches, Eddie Howe’s team is currently second from last place. After 18 games, Watford are in 17th place, just above the relegation zone with 13 points.
Burnley have 11 points as well, but they have played two fewer games than Newcastle.
