Thorgan Hazard, who is reportedly a target for Newcastle United, will be permitted to leave Borussia Dortmund if he receives an acceptable offer.
According to Sky Germany, Hazard is one of three players who have been informed they won’t have a “major” part to play in the upcoming season.
The 29-year-old was first connected to the Magpies last month because Eddie Howe wanted to bring in a wide forward this summer.
Hazard is unquestionably a more affordable option after United received a bid from Bayer Leverkusen of about £55 million for top target Moussa Diaby.
Hazard, the brother of Real Madrid star Eden, is reportedly up for sale for about £12 million, according to a recent Bild story.
Hazard began his professional career at Lens in France before following his brother Eden to Chelsea in 2012.
He spent time on loan at Borussia Mönchengladbach and Zulte Waregem before joining the latter club permanently in 2015.
The winger, whose deal with Dortmund expires in 2024, has made 99 appearances during his three seasons there and registered 16 goals.
