Leeds United’s bids to add forwards to their side haven’t born much fruit this season, with the Whites missing out on the likes of Charles de Ketelaere, Che Adams, and Mergin Berisha, among others.

But fortune is likely smiling on them if The Daily Mail’s claims that Liga MX’s Atlas has directly offered the Julian Quinones to Marsch’s side.

This is after reports since last week (Foot Mercato) that the EPL side was in contention with Strasbourg over Quinones, whose goals (15) and assists (9) largely influenced his club’s success last season.

The 25-year old’s agent and current club have made it clear that he’ll be leaving Atlas this summer, but a possible EPL move (by a player from a Mexican side) was highly unlikely and almost novice.

Patrick Bamford and Joe Gelhardt aren’t completely reliable in Leeds’ attack due to poor form due to injuries and inexperience, respectively, so Marsch is likely looking for a new entrant, Luis Sinisterra’s companion at the front.

Though Atlas prefers that Leeds take him, the former Colombia U-20’s move and permit will highly depend on an exception panel.

Moreover, the versatile star had no European experience whatsoever, and adapting to the EPL could prove not just torturous for him but risky for Leeds.

Leeds will definitely hope that Quinones won’t just qualify to play in the English top flight but also turn into another one of Victor Orta’s brilliant “hidden gems”.
