Following MacGregor’s post on Saturday, other stories emerged indicating that Celtic were pursuing Semenyo.

It follows Semenyo’s outstanding season in the Championship under Nigel Pearson, in which he scored eight goals and assisted 12 in 31 appearances.
The attacker’s deal at Ashton Gate has one year left on it, with the club having the choice to extend it for another year.
