According to a report, Peterborough United striker, Jonson Clarke-Harris wants to join Rangers this summer, as the Light Blues and a slew of other teams seek the 27-year-old forward.

The Daily Record reports that Bournemouth, Sheffield United, West Bromwich Albion, and CSKA Moscow are all interested in recruiting the Posh forward this summer, but he wishes to join Rangers.

Last season, Clarke-Harris netted 33 goals to help Peterborough advance to the Championship, attracting plenty of suitors in the process.

The Light Blues appear to be looking for successors for Alfredo Morelos, whose future is unknown.

Rangers already have options in the striking position, so any deal for Clarke-Harris will almost certainly be dependant on Morelos leaving.

Gerrard will add to an already bloated squad by bringing in another striker before Morelos is traded.

Rangers still don’t appear to be settled in terms of personnel with a week till the Scottish Premiership season begins.

Gerrard is clear about what he wants to add to his squad after making a handful of new players already this summer; it just appears that Morelos’ future will have an effect on how much more trade Rangers do in this transfer window.
