Leeds United are in the transfer business, seeking to reinforce their attack-line ahead of the 2022/23 English Premier League season.
The Whites struggled for goals last season as Patrick Bamford played fewer than 20% of the available minutes in the Premier League.
As a way of trying to avoid last term’s tribulations, Victor Orta is most likely to sign a striker this summer for options and stability upfront.
Leeds United found themselves in a relegation battle after main man Bamford sustained an injury in the fifth game of the season that left him out of Leeds United’s next nine games.
As he struggled with injuries, Joe Gelhardt, Rodrigo, Tyler Roberts, and Daniel James were all tried up front but still did not perfectly fit in the shoes of Patrick Bamford.
Leeds manager Jesse Marsch will definitely need an addition of a striker heading into the new season with a number of targets highlighted;
Arnaud Kalimuendo
Leeds have reportedly already placed a bid for the PSG youngster, according to the Independent. The striker was on loan from the French Champions to RC Lens in 21/22. He bagged 12 Ligue 1 goals in 34 appearances as Lens finished seventh in the division.
Leeds are said to have made a bid of around £20 million for the 20-year-old.
Valentin Castellanos
The Whites are also reported to be closely monitoring the situation of a New York City striker who has been linked with a move to the club. The 23-year-old scored 22 goals in all competitions last season before guiding his side to the MLS Cup. The striker is said to be available for a fee of around £15 million.
Viktor Gyökeres
Leeds United are also said to be considering a move for Coventry City striker Gyökeres. The Sweden international registered 17 in the 2021/22 Championship season, helping them finish 12 on the log. With a stellar performance, the 24-year-old forward returned to the Swedish national team for the first time since 2019.
Leeds United are also looking for ways to get the services of Terem Moffi , 23 from Lorient as well as competing with Chelsea for the signature of Armando Broja.
