Following reports linking midfielder James Maddison with Arsenal, Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed his stance on the player’s future.
That hasn’t stopped people from speculating about his future. Following the 3-3 draw against Queens Park Rangers, manager Brendan Rodgers stated that he does not intend to sell any of his key players, including Maddison, during the current transfer window.
He said: “In conversations with the club, we don’t have to sell. That’s something that’s been made clear.
“The players want to stay. It’s a really exciting time at the club.
“There’s lots of gossip and speculation around but I’m loving working with the guys here, they love being here, and we certainly have no need to sell. So I would suspect we’re looking to keep our best players.”
“We have no plans to lose anyone,” he told talkSPORT.
In recent summer transfer windows, N’Golo Kante, Danny Drinkwater, Riyad Mahrez, Harry Maguire, and Ben Chilwell have all left for greener pastures.
Maddison’s current deal at the King Power Stadium has three years left on it, having only signed new terms with the club last year.
