90Min reported that Rangers right-back, Nathan Patterson could call Old Trafford home if Ole’s move to have the former pressurize Wan-Bissaka succeeds. The 19-year old Scottish defender would fight it out for a first-team spot with Aaron and the recently returned Diogo Dalot for a spot in the team.
Patterson, who has already played three games for his country, is being watched not only by Solskjaer but also by other managers, including the manager of England rivals Everton.
He could be the best talent to aid United out of muddy waters if Wan-Bissaka’s poor run continues because the Red Devils have no place for error in this highly competitive season. Ole Gunnar is most probably worried about his defence, particularly Bissaka, whose performance is raising eyebrows of late.
According to former England player Michael Gray, Aaron’s ball distribution is too bad even for the league, as he never looks comfortable when playing. “…but his distribution with the ball at his feet, he wouldn’t get a game in league two…”He never looks comfortable with the ball at his feet,” Gray observed.
Maybe the situation is as bad as Gray put it, seeing as United have also set sights on Norwich defender, Max Aarons, perhaps to fill in if they fail to capture Patterson.
