Despite a promising start, Leeds United striker Tyler Roberts’ career is on the decline just a few years down the line as the 23-year old struggles to find form with Marcelo Bielsa’s squad.

The Wales international has had minimal contribution for his side, only managing a single goal in 21 matches this season and a total of 9 in his three years at Elland Road, so the Whites likely think him dispensable.

As per LeedsLive reporter Beren Cross’s reports, Roberts could make an exit when Marcelo signs a couple of central midfielders and some first teamers return from injury.

“If the club were to add two central midfielders,… it would become more difficult for Roberts,” Cross wrote on the club’s website.

According to the reporter, Tyler’s side will weigh their options as far as his future is concerned. “…I would not be surprised if he and his agent were assessing their options.”

Numerous injuries on Bielsa’s side allowed the Westbrom academy graduate substantial game time this season, but the forward couldn’t capitalize and prove his worth, jeopardizing his stay at Elland Road.

There’s still some time to go before the season ends, though, and the Welshman could cement his place in the squad if his poor goal tally makes an unexpected turnaround.
