To entice Leeds United star Raphinha, Barcelona is prepared to part with the likes of Sergino Dest, Clement Lenglet, or Martin Braithwaite.
According to the Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona is willing to trade Raphinha for players of their own.
Barcelona appears to be trying every trick in the book to lower Raphinha’s price tag.
There aren’t a lot of players out there willing to make the move to Leeds that Junior Firpo did last summer.
Oscar Mingueza, for example, isn’t keen on moving to Leeds as part of a deal that would bring Raphinha to Barcelona.
However, Barcelona seems to be focused on right back Dest and center back Lenglet, but neither player is willing to leave.
Braithwaite, a former Middlesbrough striker, is also being considered by Barca as a possible replacement for Raphinha.
It is likely that Jesse Marsch is well aware of Dest’s abilities and how valuable he would be to the Whites.
A successful season with Sevilla cost Lenglet £32 million to Barcelona in the summer of 2018.
Although the Frenchman’s performances for Barcelona have been hit-and-miss, he would be an excellent addition to Leeds United if the club can get him back to the form he showed at Sevilla.
Braithwaite’s departure from Middlesbrough would not erase Patrick Bamford’s place in the Leeds pecking order.
Leeds may have a difficult time convincing Dest or Lenglet to join them this summer.
