As nonchalant as he appears about almost everything off the track, Max Verstappen’s private life isn’t as calm, if even a tenth of what his girlfriend said is true.

Following his controversial title win last December, the same Dutchman was on the receiving end of some hurtful, perhaps even inhumane, comments online, and this seems to have not been directed at only him.

His girlfriend, former F1 world champion Nelson Piquet’s daughter, Kelly Piquet, called out trollers on her Instagram for literally making her life unbearable after her boyfriend’s win in Abu Dhabi.

The 33-year old model termed certain actions and comments “unacceptable,” saying that all the cruelty on social media directed at her boyfriend, his friends, and family was devastating.

“There are now far too many vicious things circulating that are utterly unacceptable,” lamented the blogger, rebuking what she said were rumours being spread about her and her close ones.

After winning his maiden F1 title, Max was accused of having been unfairly “handed” the championship, which some if not many alleged had been “snatched” from his main rival, Lewis Hamilton.

The bashing he received afterwards wasn’t directed only at him, however, and Kelly was dragged into the whole mess, even receiving insulting messages on her accounts and being accused of cheating, as shown in a leaked online photo.

The Brazilian mother of one couldn’t take it lying down and had a warning for the unforgiving trollers. “Please rethink…. everything has repercussions,” she stated.
