Montpellier’s Stephy Mavididi has attracted interest from different clubs, with West Ham and Everton leading the race to sign him.

According to Fabrizio Romano, West Ham have already approached the player’s agents and are looking forward to sealing a deal with Montpellier.

The Guardian journalist, Romano, reported via his Twitter account that Southampton, Marseille, Everton and Brighton have also approached Mavididi’s representatives.

The Englishman netted eight goals and provided three assists in 30 outings for the Ligue 1 side. He had a superb 2021/2022 season with Montpellier.

The 24-year-old began his career at Arsenal before joining Juventus in 2018. He featured once for the senior team before moving to Montpellier in 2020.

His versatility could be advantageous to the Hammers, as the Englishman can play in left-wing and centre-forward positions.

Several clubs are keen to sign the former Juventus forward, and this could be a challenge for West Ham, depending on how much it will cost to sign him.
