David Moyes’ West Ham filled the last European spot from England with a seventh place last season, but they could arguably have done better if Michael Antonio had a partner, among other reasons.

There’s a run around currently for new signings, and David Moyes is clearly determined to get his hands on one. Reportedly, he has set sights on Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca.

The Italian side has apparently demanded 42 million euros for Scalucca, while WestHam offered 8 million less in their first bid.

Clearly, the Hammers’ said offer wasn’t good enough, as reports by the Daily Express reveal that the two sides are in talks for a deal that’ll see the Italian international move to London this summer.

Gianluca is a talent worth WestHam’s time and money, given his performance in this recently concluded season, where he netted 16 times in 36 appearances.

Whether the EPL side will part with the requested amount or their Italian counterparts will take a step back and reduce the asking price will only be clear after their reported talks.

Moyes has another headache on his side other than the price, though; PSG. The League One champions are also rumored to be interested in Gianluca, but apparently made a lower first offer.

Since Scamacca hasn’t revealed any interest in West Ham, Moyes must table something that’ll not just interest Sassuolo but also be enticing enough for the star.
