English Premier League side West Ham United are reported to be luring Jerdy Schouten to the London Stadium as midfielder Declan Rice’s replacement in the summer.

Despite his contract running until June 2024, Rice is keen on leaving the Hammers for new challenges elsewhere.

Premier League heavyweights comprising of Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United have all  emerged as potential suitors for the talented midfielder.

However, it is also reported that West Ham United could let Rice go for a bid of more than £150 million. Declan Rice has been impressive with 29 caps for the England national team.

Jerdy Schouten’s contract at Italian Serie A club Bologna runs until 2024 as well. It is, however, understood that the club will not hesitate to let the star leave for the London-based outfit on a better offer.

West Ham United are the only interested bidders in the particular deal, making it easy for them to snatch the services of their target man.

Meanwhile, Jerdy Schouten climbed up the ladder at ADO Den Haag in the Netherlands. He later played for the Dutch teams Telstar and Excelsior.

He was scouted and later joined Bologna in July 2019, costing less than £2 million, according to transfermarkt.

The midfielder has been an important player for Bologna as he has been involved in 13 of Bologna’s last 14 Serie A games since coming back from injury.
