Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard has received a proposal from West Ham to play at the London Stadium once again.

When his deal at Old Trafford expires on July 1, the 29-year-old will be able to sign with any team.

At the conclusion of the 2020–21 season, Lingard enjoyed his time with the Hammers on loan, starting 16 Premier League games and scoring nine goals.

Alphonse Areola, a goalkeeper, is expected to be signed by West Ham from Paris St-Germain soon.

Areola, who spent last season on loan with the Hammers, has a deal with the French Ligue 1 champions that will cost them almost £10.5 million.

Areola made a name for himself last season when he played for West Ham and helped them get to the semifinals of the Europa League, where they lost to Eintracht Frankfurt.

The established first-choice, Lucasz Fabianski, who agreed to a one-year contract deal in May, and the 29-year-old are expected to compete for the top spot.

The Hammers, who are travelling to Scotland on Monday for their preseason training camp at St Andrews, are entering what looks to be a busy week.

When UEFA makes the draw on August 1st, the club will find out who it will face in the Europa Conference League play-off.
