According to Toro News, West Ham midfielder Nikola Vlasic is willing to leave the club and has accepted a transfer to Serie A club Torino.
Although Vlasic’s performance fell short of the club’s expectations in London, he is highly regarded in Torino. Despite moving to England, he still has hopes of leaving the club this summer.
On June 23, an Italian website with ties to Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Torino is now actively trying to reach an agreement with the Hammers, possibly on a season-long loan.
West Ham are required by the Serie A team to contribute by covering a portion of the player’s salary. If Torino really want to get their hands on him, they should sign him on loan with an option to buy next summer.
Last summer, West Ham paid a hefty sum to bring Vlasic to the club.
Even though he had a rough 2021-22 campaign, it would be a shame to write off such a talented player so quickly.
The Hammers need to improve their midfield this summer. Mark Noble has retired, so the team must find a replacement for him.
Although the Hammers are likely to keep Declan Rice, that could change if a suitor makes an extremely high offer that the club simply cannot refuse.
