West Ham United’s interest in Watford’s Ismaila Saar could have an impact on winger Nikola Vlasic’s future at the club.
The Sunday People has reported that the Hammers are preparing a move for the Watford winger in the window, a development that could see Vlasic exit the side.
Watford have reportedly placed a price tag of £20m on the Senegalese winger, fair enough depending on his form in the concluded season. Saar was involved in seven goals in only 22 appearances for Watford in the 2021/22 campaign.
His arrival at West Ham could create an instant impact, especially on the contract of Vlasic. The Croatian earned 19 appearances in the Premier League for the David Moyes side last season with only one goal in the process, a score card that is not pretty impressive.
Moyes has been patient enough with Vlasic in regards to the adaptability of the English Premier League. However, the move for Saar could spell doom for the Croatian as Moyes seeks to build a strong squad for tough assignments next season.
On the other hand, finding a new challenge elsewhere could be helpful to Nikola Vlasic, as Watford are free to let Saar leave for the Hammers.
